Portsomouth Vs MCFC - Players' Lounge Sunday 20th Apr K.O. 7.00pm

What a fantastic week it has been to be a Blue. The seniors returned to form with a well-earned 2-1 victory at Sunderland last weekend, while the irreplacable Jim Cassell and his Academy boys brushed aside Chelsea's millionaires 3-1 in the FA Youth Cup final on Wednesday evening to win the trophy 4-2 on aggregate.

This weekend sees City face a stern test as they return to Eastlands for a crucial fixture against Harry Redknapp's high-flying Portsmouth. Any lingering hopes of automatic European qualification will be put to bed with anything other than a victory against the South-coast side, so this match has all the makings of a classic.

The two teams uncharacteristically drew 0-0 at Fratton Park earlier in the season, but with both teams preferring to play open, expansive football, we should be in for a treat of attacking entertainment on Sunday. Pompey's away form places them fifth in the league, which is exactly where City's home form places the Blues in the league, so it is sure to be a hotly-contested affair.

The action kicks off at 7pm Dubai time and is preceeded by two local derbies: Aston Villa Vs Birmingham at 3pm and Newcastle Vs Sunderland at 4.30pm. MCFC Dubai shall be meeting as usual from 6pm inthe Players' Lounge bar at Bur Dubai's Chelsea Hotel to watch the match live on the big screen with full English commentary. See you there.
