After crashing back down to earth with an almighty bang at Stamford Bridge last week, City will be keen to show that the Chelsea debacle was just a one-off when Roy Keane's (*spit*) Sunderland visit Eastlands on Monday night.
The Blues are already back to winning ways, having edged past Bolton and into the last eight of the Carling Cup, courtesy of an 85th minute penalty from Elano. Sunderland, now led by former City great Niall Quinn as Chairman, have yet to win on their travels this season, so City will certainly be looking to continue their 100% run at Eastlands.
Due to the clocks going back an hour in England last week, the game does not kick off until midnight (Dubai time), so I suspect that there will be a very low turnout at the Player's Lounge this week. However, I should be there and hopefully some of the other Bur Dubai locals will be able to make it.
As usual, the game will be featured on the big screen but I'm not sure about sound as the resident band will probably be playing at that time of night. City travel to Portsmouth for their next game, which kicks off at 8pm (Dubai time) on Sunday, November 11th.
